View this dope documentary of our favorite collaborator and partner in crime and creativity: photographer Carl Posey - before it goes out a preview mode (as it is to premier at a not yet announced spot) where you most likely won't be able to get in!!! It's how we roll y'all!
BAAM! Whaddaya think about our brand new photo shoot collaboration with Elastic Wonder?
We are just about smashed to the floor by so much beauty and color explosion... These leggings are a limited edition run and you better hurry to snatch you a pair as they're flying out of our NY warehouse! Last I checked there were only about 18 pieces left, all in different sizes.
And what about that dope sweatshirt y'all? Brand spanking new for Fall 2014 by yours truly. Get yours at IDILVICE.com they should be fully stocked by next week.
Yes, Virgin Mary is gracing this two tone unisex neon orange fleece sweatshirt, decorated with yellow rib. You guessed right: it is the softest, warmest creation and you'll be wearing it all Winter long. (Don't even think about all the compliments you are going to get!)
Indeed, it is still Summer and I can't bear the thought of it ever ending! It has been a wonderful one. It's my very first to spend here in sunny California and I hope I will be living many more... My birthday just passed too. Well, I know you are busy enjoying your special time too, where ever you may be spending your Summer, but I wanted to remind you to be consciously enjoying every minute of this wonderful time of the year, so I went back to one of our earlier shoots from this season and picked one for this post. I love the light in this one and the oh so loved palm trees lining up behind gorgeous model Arianna! It portrays perfectly the carefree vibe of California and the hippie style which is very present here. So with this, I let you go about your business and I'll go about mine... Happy Summer 2014!
I am loving the warm sunshine on my winter prone pale skin. In terms of style, I've been really choosy... maybe not in the way you think. I am talking about getting my style in a casual way, something more layed back than the recent fitted, taylored trend of Spring and even Winter... I have been picking cottons in pastel colors and whites... here is one of our most recent designs which is perfectly zen for these hot days. (Buddha must have the most serene face features ever!) It works in the city and at the beach, just don't forget to pack it when you go on vacation, it's just a daily go to dress, so easy and still pretty dressy due to the elaborate printing and tie dye features. Anyway, just wanted to check in and let you know what I am up style wise right now.
Tomorrow, a brand new video titled: BOW TIES by IDILVICE. Concepted and shot by Carl Posey is going up! We will post the link on this blog asap, so you can watch it!
Dr. Vice is coming to see you and show you how to make Bow Ties.
Check out the cool Laboratorium set photographer Carl Posey created in his NYC photo studio. The color white of course for cleanliness and red for the bold and very recognizable color of IDILVICE's heritage homeland Switzerland.
Just like the rare Swiss mountain flower Edelweiss - a symbol of prestige and distinction - the clothing brand IDILVICE (pronouced "Edel-vice") was born in the mountains of Switzerland and since then it's flourishing on the concrete of Manhattan and recently even in the rolling hills of the San Francisco Bay Area. However as the spelling indicates, the label is not meant to be associated with too much folkloric alpine tradition, but rather and probably in the contrary, with unconventionality.
The IDILVICE label was founded in 1995 by Swiss Native fashion designer Idil from the city of Saint Gallen, Switzerland, who's foundation dates back to the 7th Century and which became famous for their quality textile products, especially embroidery textiles, which are still popular with Parisian Haute Couture designers today.
In search for something less traditional, Master Graphic Designer Idil ventured out to New York City where she fell in love with American Pop Culture.
Wish I had a blog when I started life way back in Switzerland! I'm catching up, telling you all about what happened in the past decades and what's happening right now in my life as a fashion designer at the pulse in two of the most exiting cities in the world: New York City and San Francisco, where things come together in art, music, lifestyle, culture, commerce, politics and so much more... I get inspired by all! When I am not writing for this blog, I am juggling the testing schedule and responsibilities as head designer and creative director of the IDILVICE (Although it's pronounced like the rare Edelweiss mountain flower, it certainly doesn't follow strict alpine traditions, in the contrary, it challenges them) fashion label as well as it's young sister brand Elastic Wonder.
